Supernatural 7x02 Thoughts...
So not quite as awesome as last week, IMO, and not what I was expecting, but still pretty solid and intense, season 7 continues on a high note! :)

Okay first off, OBVIOUSLY Cas is not really dead, I mean just storytelling wise, this is not going to be it, especially after his vows of redemption, and also it's just such an unclear and weak way to go.  Hate the writers all you want, they're not going to do that to Cas, don't be so gullible fandom--he'll get a send-off at least as good as Gabester or Jo/Ellen...it was nice though seeing the emotion Dean, Sam, and Bobby showed for him though!

Rather, Cas is definitely going to be the "Boss" that the Jimmy Smits!Lookalike Leviathan kept referring to, since the head Leviathan no doubt wanted to keep that sweet body for himself, lol, but maybe hated the coat...;) This would also give new meaning to the 7x01 title "Meet the New Boss"--you think it's referring to Godstiel, but it could really be referring to the Leviathan speaking at the end as well. Obviously Cas's vessel couldn't contain them all, so they had to leak out and take other forms, but the head one could have stayed inside Cas. So look for Leviacas around midseason finale, probably (they haven't gotten near filming that yet, right?).

I mean, I was a bit disappointed that we didn't really get to see any more Crazy!Misha, or really much Cas at all for Misha's last known epp until God(stiel) knows when--he just looked like a pen exploded on him and kind of lamely limped off--but oh well, the Leviathans were interesting enough in their other vessels, and there was of course so much else going on in this epp anyway....I loved the references to Dr. Sexy, lol, and ZOMG WTF BOBBY'S HOUSEEEE I MEAN I KNEW IT WAS COMING BUT NOOOO! :( I'm sure Bobby is okay, but still, omg, Dean at the end there! ;_; (I think they'll definitely be dealing with Dean's depression this season, especially with the conversation with Bobby as well in this epp). Cas's trenchcoat btw was totally in the trunk of the Impala, and thus safe and sound from the fire, ready to be returned to Real!Cas when he returns in the end...;)

But moving on to the best storyline of the epp...OMG SAAAAAAMMMM! DDD: AND MARKSHA UNFF YOU FLAWLESS FLAWLESS AMAZING BEING YOU ARE PERFECT AND I LOVE YOU! I mean gah Lucifer was just AMAZING, the way he was so cool and casual, just SITTING THERE READING THE PAPER ON THE COUCH and conversationally saying, "You know, I think Prince William has found the right girl" with that smile, etc, and then his, "Okay, so I'm not real, nobody's perfect...but it doesn't matter" at the end. The creepy ass way he sticks a poker through Bobby right in front of Sam while Bobby talks on, obliviously....CAN HE STAY ALL SEASON PRETTY PLEASE?! :D I mean, maybe less and less as Sam heals but, man it's good to see him again, casting Marksha as Lucifer has to be one of the best casting coups EVER! Just such a ~fabulous man...

And then, let's talk about Sam...poor bb, looking so lost and confused and puppy!eyed, I wanted to give that boy a hug and find him better babysitters than Bobby...:/ (Why didn't they just lock him in the panic room again?) I knew it had to be Lucifer when the first Dean came in, because real!Dean wouldn't have involved him on a hunt like that (and since Sam had the keys in his hand when he got out he obviously did really drive there, it was a Fight Club Type thing clearly). I *loved* the Sam/Dean/(Lucifer) confrontation in the warehouse best of all, such a great brother scene, I mean eww at pressing into Sam's hand, but I loved how Dean was about to reach out to Sam and help him realize that Lucifer wasn't real for sure/make the Lucifer hallucination disappear temporarily, such a touching scene! <333 Loved Dean's speech to Sam so much, and him telling Sam that HE was real and the base to build everything else off of, relating his own experiences of Hell to help Sammy...so much brotherly love! ♥

"This is different, right? Than the crap that’s tearing into your walnut. I’m different, right? Sam. I am your flesh and blood brother. I am the only one who can legitimately kick your ass in real time. You got away. We got you out, Sammy. Believe in that. Believe me, okay? You’ve gotta believe me. You’ve got to make it stone number one and build on it! You understand?"

*melts* Sammy believing saves the day once again! And Dean's faaace too, then and later when he's looking over at Sammy in the ambulance telling him to stay with him!

Anyway, another intense and exciting episode with some great character stuff, and damn next week looks messed up! :p Also I've noticed there's been some good classic music in both of the last two epps ("These Boots are Made for Walking," the water song in 7x02), which pleases me greatly, I hope they keep it up! :D Honestly, I prefer $$ spent on that than on FX even...

Also once again nerded out today in honor of SN by wearing my ~stylish trenchcoat in the evening for Cas (luckily the weather cooperated with my nerdy impulses by being cool enough to need a coat!), and eating a cheeseburger a la Dean...:p

I think I felt the same way about it that you did!! And I lol'd at the Prince William line too XD

I also liked how the Leviathan seemed so grossed out by the fact that the little girl knew how babies were made ... but ripping out that woman's liver and eating it raw? Nah, not gross at all @.@

Woot, glad you enjoyed it too, isn't season 7 great so far?! :D Love your icon btw, so pretty!

And LMAO I didn't even think about that...OBVIOUSLY LEVIATHANS SHARE AN ANGELIC ATTITUDE TOWARDS TEH SECKS! ;)

Yeah the Sam/Luci stuff was intense, especially in all of its implications, Luci has the best mindgames! And yeah, there were so many Leviathans in him that they clearly needed to go off into their own bodies, etc. People get overexcited about things sometimes in fandom...*sigh*

I just want more Cas, but I heard this is the last of Misha for a long time. ;____________;

Me too, but I'm sure he'll be back before the end...

"You know, I think Prince William has found the right girl"

Oh really? Where was my brain then? LOL I thought he said "Bruce Wayne" not "Prince William". Oh well!

LOLLL that's so strange, bad brain! :p But you can see why "Prince William" makes a lot more sense in that comment, right, unless Bruce Wayne has also recently begun dating someone new? ;)

Really, there are fans who think that this was Castiel's send-off? Oh ye of little faith. *shakes head*

I loved literally everything about this episode. ♥ You know that I love S6, but I think Hello, Cruel World is the best SN episode since Swan Song aired; it's an instant classic for me. High h/c quota, epic brotherly moments, Dean being Sam's anchor and Bobby being Dean's anchor, kick-ass Sheriff Mills, creepy Lucifer, creepy leviathans - it's all fantastic. If S7 goes on like this it could shape up to be one of my favourite seasons. /sigh

Yep, there are! *sigh* Of little faith indeed...much like Dean

Yep, I agree, I do like s6 (unlike so many), but as I've always said, there were never any SUPER AMAZING OMG DYING episodes that had me thrilled and full of love and constantly thinking about the episode for days after it aired that season, unlike in s5....but finally we've gotten there again this season! :D Lol you and your H/C, I knew you'd love this! ;) It was a pretty epic brother scene, up there in terms of one of the best brother scenes ever (and most important), and Lucifer was just amazing, and the examination more of Dean's depression...I do admit, I wasn't as fond of the Sheriff Mills storyline (I was kind of disappointed that her comeback was to be in the hospital needing to be rescued by Bobby), and disappointed by the very beginning of the epp, so I'm not sure where I rank this compared to last week, even though the Lucifer and brother bits were of course much better this week. (I think I missed the line about him telling Sam he needs to carry him, I need to rewatch!)

But yeah, season 7 is definitely on a roll, and looking forward to seeing Jensen's epp next week! :) (I think, right?)

Yes. Yes to all of this.

I actually loved this ep. I wanted more crazy Leviathan banter but I get why it went the way it did. I think you're right about Mid-Season. I think we'll get Leviathan wearing Cas as the Big Bad for the end of the season and Cas finally fighting free at the very end with all the heartbreaking potential that has.

All i've ever wanted is for Cas to have a kickass ending and I think (hope) ((pray to the spaghetti monster)) that we're going to get it.

Glad we are agreed! I mean, Misha's exit (for now) was a bit weak, but I get it, and firmly believe we'll see him again, and did enjoy the other Leviathans for the time being! I sure hope he will fight free and redeem himself at the end...

Me too, bb, me too, lol the Giant Flying Spaghetti Monster be merciful! :p I mean, I think Cas is almost certainly going to die by the end of the season (*sob*), but if it's a la Spike in "Chosen" I am okay with it!

Wow I really like your Cas/Leviathan theory and there is no way Cas is gone for good!!

100% agree about Mark and happy he is back. (I always thought he should have had more eps in season 5.)

I hate that poor Sammy is being tormented but I'm glad Lucifer "isn't going anywhere." =3

Oh hey, thanks for commenting! :)

Lol, I can't take credit for the theory I'm afraid, I got it from talking with others, still hope it's true though! *prayer circle*

Yess me too, I just loved him in s5 so much, and feel he was underused, though maybe it was better that way, made him more threatening, etc. I definitely want to see him back again soon this season, though it sounds like it might be a while...:/
